Please read these Terms of Service completely using roystonglass.co.uk which is owned and operated by Royston Glass Ltd, 2 Industry Road, Carlton Industrial Estate, Carlton, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S71 3PQ (Company Registration No: RG6452072). This Agreement documents the legally binding terms and conditions attached to the use of the website at roystonglass.co.uk, and purchases made through said website.

This website has been designed as a retail and informational environment, through which glass Splashbacks may be purchased, information on our products and services can be accessed and enquiries can be made.

Royston Glass Ltd is governed by the laws and Juristication of England and Wales.

Royston Glass Ltd reserves the right to change or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Should you have agreed to a previous version of these Terms & Conditions, you will be notified of the changes that have been made.

By using or accessing the website in any way, or by viewing or browsing the website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Ordering Goods/Samples

Our on line store can only accept orders from and delivery to UK Mainland and Northern Ireland addresses. You will be able to review and amend your order in your shopping basket, and at checkout prior to submitting your order. Your order is accepted by us once payment is received by Royston Glass. Royston Glass will confirm receipt of your order by sending an email to you using the address you supplied when making your online purchase.

Royston Glass reserves the right to decline orders for bulk, high value or otherwise suspicious purchases. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information contained within our site. If for whatever reason we are unable to fulfil your order we will offer the nearest possible alternative or issue a full refund where payment has already been processed.

Industry Tolerances

When placing orders please allow for industry standard machine/cutting tolerances +/- 2mm.

Colour Reproduction

Colours displayed on our website and brochures are to be used as a guide only. Reproduction of colour online is as accurate as photographic and electronic processes allow.

Royston Glass can provide a glass paint that will provide an accurate colour match to most paint manufacturers shades. Should you wish to be assured of the colour match we recommend you contact Royston Glass to request a colour sample. If a customer intends to place a repeat order the customer should be aware that there may be a minimal colour difference due to paint batch processes. In these circumstances it is recommended that the customer contact us before placing the order so that we can do our utmost to replicate the original batch shade.

Providing Templates

Should customers wish to send Royston Glass their own templates to enable us to manufacture shaped glass they can do so by sending to the address on the contact us page. Royston Glass will manufacture to the size and shape of the template subject to industry standard machine/cutting tolerances +/- 2mm. Royston Glass will contact you if other manufacture limitations prevent us replicating the template.

Customers sending templates to Royston Glass do so at their own risk. We will not be held responsible for loss or damage of the template or be held liable for any associated costs the customer incurs producing or sending the template. Templates will only be returned at customers request and cost.

Prices

Goods are charged as shown on the order summary page on the date the customer places the order. The total cost includes delivery cost and VAT. In the unlikely event of an administrative error resulting in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct the price. In these circumstances you will not be bound to continue with the purchase and you will be asked to email us to confirm you wish to proceed.

Payment

We accept payment using most major credit/debit cards. Goods will only be released once payment has been received by us in full. You may pay for purchases using the following Cards: Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro UK, Solo and JCB.

Please be sure to provide the exact billing and delivery address and contact telephone number to prevent delays in processing your order.

Payment is powered by Worldpay.

Delivery Information

We can deliver to addresses within mainland UK and Northern Ireland . Delivery charges are included in the price shown in your basket. In certain circumstances due to oversize, and/or over weight, and/or location additional charges may apply over and above those quoted. We will advise you if there are any additional charges when your order has been received by us for processing. In such circumstances you will not be bound to continue with your purchase and will be asked to email should you wish to proceed.

Please allow between 10 -15 business days for shipping of merchandise. Goods will be delivered by courier Tues to Fri between 9am and 5pm. Saturday deliveries are available at an additional cost, please contact us for details. All deliveries should be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives the courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for delivery or for you to collect from your local depot.

Where the customer instructs the courier to leave goods with a third party or in a safe place they do so at their own risk.

All goods are subject to rigorous quality checks before shipment. Please check for any visible signs of damage before signing for goods.

If any goods appear damaged the customer must state this on the courier delivery document when signing.

All items must be unpacked and checked within 24hrs of receipt. For faults that are not apparent until packaging is opened we are unable to accept liability if goods are not checked and damages reported within this time frame. Any damages must be reported to Royston Glass by telephone on 01226 700027 and confirmed in writing via email to sales@roystonglass.co.uk.

Complaints/Queries

Unwanted Goods

We do not offer refunds or exchanges on unwanted goods unless they are faulty or identified as damaged on receipt of delivery.

Cancelling Orders

There is no right to cancel an order once payment is received or deposit payment has been made. As goods are manufactured bespoke to customer specification they are as such custom made. Please refer to 'The Customer Contracts Regulations 2014' for full details.

Faulty Goods

Any return of goods must be agreed and authorised by us in writing before they can be accepted. Please report faults within 24hrs of delivery. Goods will only be replaced or refunded after this time at company discretion. If you purchase goods from us that are found to be faulty we will supply a replacement product, arrange for repair or give a full refund of the purchase price.

Simply return the goods via post or carrier (you are advised to obtain a proof of posting certificate available from Post Office or carriers at no additional charge). Upon receipt we will examine goods. We aim to provide a replacement, arrange a repair or refund within 10 working days.

Visual Quality of Glass

No defects should be visible from a distance of 3 meters or over when the glass is in its final position.

Small defects in the glass that are visible within a distance less than 3 meters for example scratches, bubbles and specs in paint are considered normal in the glass industry.

The above guidance is in accordance with the Glass & Glazing Federation Code of Practice.

Guarantee

Royston Glass will use reasonable endeavours to repair or replace free of charge, any coating which is found to be delaminating or discolouring within a period of five (5) years from the delivery date. This guarantee is subject to full payment for all products, charges, fees and reasonable notice by the customer of such fault to Royston Glass. The customer must maintain and clean the product (s) in a proper manner. This guarantee excludes wilful damage and normal wear and tear.

An installation undertaken by Royston Glass is valid for twelve (12) months from the installation date.

The guarantee only applies to the customer noted on the order form and is not transferable. This does not affect any Statutory Rights.

Data Protection

Your personal details will not be passed on or sold to any company in accordance with the Data Protection Act. We may from time contact existing customers by email to inform them of new products, services or offers. If you do not wish to receive these emails you may opt out of our mailing list at any time. We do not store credit/debit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Intellectual Property

roystonglass.co.uk and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Royston Glass Ltd and are protected by international copyright and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

Our Glass Splashbacks are manufactured in 2 different finishes: Classic Gloss, and Matt.

The Classic Gloss Finish utilizes the high shine, reflective qualities of the glass the Splashback is made from. Because our Splashbacks are back painted, these qualities are present on the front surface of your Splashback, giving a Gloss Finish.

Our Matt Finish Splashbacks however have undergone an additional process during manufacture, meaning the front surface of the Splashback no longer has the reflective shine of the classic finish, but has instead a Matt finish. This finish means Splashbacks manufactured using this glass are more subtle than their gloss cousins, introducing colour to a room without the same bang, but with no less impact.
